This beautiful piece has five circus or zoo animals in two-sided cages. Consisting of an elephant, monkey, lion, camel and a bear. The cages, clasp and links are made of sterling silver the animals are golden yellow and I have read they are made from gold-filled goldine brass - an alloy of copper and zinc. These animals are loose in their cages and can move. The cages do not open. The backs of the animals are smooth, while the fronts are very detailed and 3-dimensional. The clasp is solid and tight. Stamped "Sterling".
