This beautiful Edwardian era gold-filled locket is marked inside with the hallmark, RBM Altrice 1874 around a bee. This is the jewelry makers mark for the R.B. MacDonald Company which opened in 1874 in Attleboro, MA. This locket was part of their "Little Beatrice" line started in 1903 which dates this locket around the turn of the century. Inside there is a patent date marking that reads Pat. Feb 10-03.
In very good condition, hinge works well and closes with a snap. Inside rings are still there to hold a picture and measures 1"in diameter.
